Dick was one of the first boys I met at Avondale School when moving here in 1960. I remember getting to spend the night at his parents house on Smiley St. when I was in 4th or 5th grade. Dick and I remained good buddies all the way through high school till we went our separate ways. I always enjoyed his personality and free spirit. Too many old friends are gone! RIP Dick. - Johnny Smith
Dick just lived a few streets over. He used to come over to my house and trade comic books and army men. He had a great sense of humor. I can easily see him laughing as he pushed up his glasses. We spent a bunch of high school nights with Randy Bills and others duffing around drinking beer and just having fun. Guys like Dick make the world better. Thanks bud.
